There are better dating apps

Ive used this for a few months, and have met a few people in person, and had several messaging conversations. But after trying a few others like OKCupid and Plenty of Fish, Im really disappointed in Match.

- The app is full of bugs.
- The model is prone to scammers, so I have been contacted by many more fake people than the other sites (the whole "Im not paying for an account to email me here crap").
- Too broad and limited interest categories, and no way to list or search for specific interests.
- The match algorithm is a complete joke, and doesnt even seem to take each others preferences into account, which is really all they have to base matches on.

Overall, Ive had much more interesting conversations thanks to the personality tests and questions on OKC and POF. And since you dont have to pay for messaging, the users seem more active on the other sites as well.

My advice: Give the others a try before paying for Match.

I started with Match because it was one of the first, and had a good rep. But it hasnt really kept up with the modern trends. And they REALLY need to fix some bugs.
