I've received a lot of likes on the app, but it seems that I can't match with anyone unless either I pay or they do. While swiping, I ran out of matches, yet I couldn't see any profiles of people who liked me. The screen showed that I had 210 likes but was asking me to pay to access them, even though I had no further options. Why am I not seeing the people who liked me or messaged me, and why can't I connect with those I like? Don't waste your time; it feels like they just want your money.

So far Match this app isn’t worth the money. No matched and no one wants to chat even if you find someone that you might match with. Always says more matches coming soon …. Nope

You’d get more customers if your prices were a little bit more reasonable

I had hoped that with such a popular dating site that there would be more men within 100 mile radius of where I live and there might be because I’m within 100 miles of the Philadelphia area, but I haven’t found any Profiles offered to me down in that area unless I put in that I live in Philadelphia, which I do not, but I visit family there all the time so I thought that would give me options of meeting men. I’m sorry I’m locked in for such a long life of time now because I feel like this has been a waste of money and time.

I was a paying member and was banned for no reason. I have never done anything to violate any of the guidelines or standards. I was never notified why my profile was banned, I tried to appeal it, they denied it without stating why, and my money was kept. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and I will be contacting the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office Consumer Division to ask for an investigation of your platform.

I just want to delete this and I can’t get logged in, please send me an email where I can write.

Was charged twice even though I canceled auto renewed. Zero profiles showing from my filtered search criteria. Showing profiles out of my radius and filter preferences. Also after membership ends your inbox gets full, even though you get none while a member

This app is literally one of the worse dating apps I’ve ever downloaded. I paid $130 for THREE months, that’s almost $45 per month for stuff that normal apps give you for free like seeing who likes you. Forget if you want any privacy settings or to narrow your search to the state you live in because you have to pay more for that. I used this app everyday for over a month and had absolutely no luck and no extra benefits even though I paid for it. Absolutely pathetic, I wish I could give zero stars, but at least my hope my review saves others from this horrible app.

A lot of scammers. I keep getting matched with guys that don’t fit my profile/style. I “like” others and even send messages and never hear back. I’m well educated, successful, physically fit and attractive for my age and there just don’t seem to be a lot of options. Even the curated pick never got back to me.

They love banning your account, including paid accounts. AVOID THIS SCAMMY APP!!!!!

As if online dating weren’t stressful enough, the profile setup experience on Match, unironically doesn’t give you the option to go back. So as you’re thinking about if it’s really wise, to post the ways that you actually want a loved one to do when you’re upset (reinforce the connection to mollify your fear of abandonment) when a terrible realization strikes you. Yes, you love beer, but if you put is as a major interest in your profile you are going to match with hordes of emotionally immature man-children, so you look for the back button, and you realize there is no going back. Somewhat disturbed I rush to the end of the profile, hoping to start the editing in earnest. In this world where technology so frequently makes us feel more empowered, like we have access to all of the information and means to express ourselves that anyone could possibly want, the match app simply asked me over and over again about how I found their app, my age, my height, my body type, and educational background, whenever I tried to edit anything about my profile, or even try to add pictures. It was at this point that I came to accept that, just like my first love and the intense innocent feelings that went along with it, my opportunity to have a profile on Match.com that reflects the best of me is gone, lost to time. So, now I have 2 profiles on Match.com: one that is most well done halfway through, and one with a few mistakes in the questions, and none with a single picture of me, but they say that love is blind. I lost conversations when I downloaded the app. I’m really disappointed.

This app is fine but I’m sick of the app automatically matching me with people. And it keeps matching me to people who “look like me” which is annoying. Stop the algorithm from ASSUMING. PLEASE REMOVE THIS GLITCH.

Can’t even reply to messages unless you pay for a subscription.

Don’t waste your money. App is full of “brand ambassadors” that send likes and a generic hello message in order to entice you into subscribing. Once you pay, they never reply again. Any of the few others are scammers and bots. This company owns pretty much all the dating apps, so steer clear. Best way to spot a fake “brand ambassador” - they will always have pictures with friends, pets, bar/club/restaurant, and a local land mark. You’re welcome.

I got locked out for six weeks before i gained access again. Also paid for a subscription that never worked, never got a refund or any help. I gave them 1star because I liked the amount of words Match lets you use vs other apps, not that the descriptions get read all the time. But the app is expensive and useless.

Of all the times I used Match, I’ve never had a match at all. Waste of time and their member prices are too much.

All blurry faces. No messages are visible, no communication is available

No matches while paying the ridiculously expensive membership fee. Then as soon as it expires, they send a message saying I have a new match. Rejoin to see who. SCAM!

They don’t screen people well and many fake profiles on the site to keep you active and they continue to charge despite you trying to cancel subscription

I am a real person looking to meet new people, and I created an account using a different email address with the same phone number. However, my account was banned. I am not a scammer. It seems like there’s been a technical glitch, as I was banned for no reason. I’m really just trying to engage with the service, and it's inconvenient for me. I was even considering upgrading and paying for the service, but now I'm hesitant because of this ban.

I saw a number of Instagram videos that said Match had free messaging. That turned out to be false. Additionally, sometimes when you open the app there’s a full page targeted ad for OTHER dating platforms (I’ve seen hinge advertised more than once.) You can’t X out of the ad - you have to close the app and restart it. Dating apps are tiresome enough, I don’t want to download and interact over multiple sites. ALSO there are all kinds of “upgrades” on Match. Pardon me, but I’ve already paid an exorbitant fee to view less than mediocre profiles. I don’t want to “upgrade” to Diamond Level. Show me decent looking people or give me my money back! That’s another thing - NO REFUND POLICY. You mean to tell me I spent over $100 for a three month service and when I find the site lacking, there’s no refund? Unacceptable.

This apps pay wall is crazy. Literally stopping you from using the app just to make sure you pay. Then acting like “your app” or “your phone” is the problem. Support/Customer Service is ChatGPT which isn’t helpful. Literally a scam for money. Bumble is better.

I used Match.com 2018-2019. Now in March 2025 how it possibly get any worse? Well it does. Age 55 my matches if I get any are over 2-3 hrs away. Out of the 100 likes and 50 dm I have had 4 replies within 4 weeks. Not very good odds for paying 138.00 for 3 months. Also they have weekly “meet ups” you can join on Thursdays at 5pm. No better responses using that event either. (1) boost a month for 138.00 is insane. Never never again

There are so many better apps out there. Even after subscribing, they limit the amounts of people to match with. Matches were all far away or outside of preferences. They also limited the number of messages you are able to send. Very unsatisfied.

I’ve used these apps and this is the only one I get zero anything. No likes, no messages and no matches. I’m actually surprised about that because it was supposed to be one of the best. You have to pay for everything on these apps and this one is the worst.

To me, it seems like this app is nothing but a scam, almost everyone in this app is an old subscriber meaning their subscription had expired long time ago, and they did not renew it. For the lack of subscribers, basically, you almost always, the only one on the app.

Would it hurt to give free messages that can both be written and read daily ? Maybe one or two every 34 hours . This system is terrible I’ve sent a few messages, but never received any feedback. I see I have a couple of messages but I cannot see them . To pay is out landish, your prices are as high as one that you might sign up for at a studio. I h a ve even had a few matches with women, I send them messages they can’t get them. This is after we match. Your restrictions are horrible. Clean things up a little.

Support amounts to Match folks sending out form emails asking for all sorts of information and then completely disregarding your response—over and over and over again. Effectively nonexistent.

As a new user to dating apps. There was no basic information on what the icons mean. How to swipe. What the additional charges are. Cant go back and find people who liked you unless you like immediately. Very frustrating. No help line and email response was slow and not helpful. A simple user guide would go a long way Im thinking of canceling due to no customer support.

This app deserves zero stars

On my phone how do I find someone I saw before and passed by? Also I’m having trouble doing anything on my tablet. I’m not very computer savvy.

If you reach out to support, they never respond. They recently introduced a new matchmaking AI, promising matches within 48 hours, but they don’t even deliver on that. The video chat feature doesn’t work, and for the $60 monthly fee, the experience is incredibly disappointing. Matches.com is the opposite of “you get what you pay for”you pay a lot and get almost nothing in return. They need to fix the glitches and improve the site’s functionality.

Great set up and i loved the idea of the app, however after spending an hour trying to figure out why my photos were not uploading, i gave up. I switched them around, all appropriate, and nothing. No support, only just delete my account was an option, tried again and it still shows the same issue.

I am not enjoying Match because I paid and I am still limited and all I keep getting is pay more. I keep seeing people that are not in my description who have animals, not Christians etc!!! I feel like it’s a free app. I am tired of the random list

My matches didn’t even reply to me at all I’m disappointed in this app I’m sorry for leaving this app I had enough of my own problems have a good day and my experience on match is not good at all for me so I’m sorry to say this I have decided to leave this app for good bye

It’s much easier to spend money on this app than find a date. Don’t waste your time. You’re more likely to find a date at a local event or bar.
